Spring assessments will be here before we know and our learners are working VERY HARD on mastering their math facts!
Did you know that repeated practice helps students to master fact fluency? Five minutes of fact fluency practice at home everyday is all we are asking for.
If your child is in:
Kindergarten - 2nd grade: Please practice addition and subtraction facts.
3rd-6th grade: Please practice multiplication and division facts.
Even our 7th and 8th graders would benefit from repeated practice of these skills.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the volunteers from the Kingston and Chester Lions Clubs for their assistance in providing vision screens to almost our entire student body today. A special shout out to our OUTSTANDING nurse, Mrs. Schipano for all the work that she put in behind the scenes to ensure that today's screenings were organized and efficient!

Tonight is one of our favorite night's of the year! We will be hosting a kindergarten information night in the Ellis School library at 6:00pm for our incoming kindergarten families. We can't wait to welcome them to the nest!

This afternoon, our faculty and staff gathered in the library to learn about the latest research surrounding the science of reading. Our presenter, Elizabeth Cannon, is this year's recipient of the prestigious Christa McAuliffe Sabbatical. In addition to sharing her expertise this afternoon, Ms. Cannon has been collaborating with our reading specialist, Mrs. Kelly, to ensure that we are embedding the latest research into our daily instruction.
