Our Girls on the Run team is getting super excited for their upcoming run in Concord! For one of their team projects, they designed uplifting and encouraging posters to put up around the school. Check out some of their awesome creations!

We would like to extend a very special thank you to Colonial Poplin for, not only hosting a fantastic parade last Friday, but for their generous coffee and tea basket for our staff. We are so lucky to have such amazing neighbors!

"Yesterday the 5th graders dissected owl pellets- the regurgitated bones, hair, and fur from owls after the digest their food. The kids loved it and were so engaged. We learned about what kinds of things owls eat and this will tie in nicely when we expand our study of food webs." Miss Booth!

One of the best parts of this week is that Mrs. Kimball dresses up as a Ghostbuster for the Ghostbusters P.E. game!

One of the most rewarding aspects of being a part of a PK-8 school is the opportunity for student mentorship and collaboration between grade levels. Mr. Asbell, Mrs. Grande, and Mrs. Phillips are currently facilitating a science learning opportunity for second and seventh grade students during which seventh grade hydroponics/aquaponics students work with second grade to build a garden. They started this work last week, and it was absolutely wonderful to see them working together so well!
Our student ambassadors had a wonderful time at Getting to Y in Plymouth today. Thank you to SoRock and CADY for making this possible for our middle school leaders!

We would like to extend a special thanks to Ace Hardware for their donations to our aquaponics class!
Our educators teach writing skills in all subjects! These are pictures of Mr. Asbell's students working on writing detailed compare and contrast paragraphs in our gorgeous pollinator garden.
Educators and Caregivers!

Dear Fremont and Ellis Community,
One of our goals as Ellis School is to expand our community service and outreach. The kindergarteners would like for you to donate and/or share the link below to help them earn money for American flags and to raise funds for injured and/or ill veterans. We will be creating a field of flags in November to honor and support our veterans. We are excited to learn about veterans, Veterans Day, and to participate in the field of flags!
Thank you,
The Kindergarteners at Ellis School

It was Taco Tuesday in this Spanish Period 2 class today! Students organized the entire event, and it was a huge success! Thank you to Sra. Sonia for supporting these students' plans and for making it educational, complete with new vocabulary and cultural lessons on food!

The Fremont School District is excited to announce that our physical education and wellness educator, Hannah Kimball, has been selected by the New Hampshire Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance as the recipient of the 2025 Middle School Physical Education Teacher of the Year.
Hannah will be honored at the banquet during the 2025 NHAHPERD Conference on November 6, 2025.
As Ellis School’s K-8 Physical Education Teacher since 2014, Hannah has dedicated an immense amount of passion and time to our school and district. She also serves as one of the district’s athletic directors and coaches a number of Ellis School sports, such as soccer and track. Among many other accomplishments, she has created a standards-aligned physical education and health curriculum, designed engaging and innovative learning activities, such as the skateboarding program, and created a successful and lucrative Pie-in-the-Face fundraiser for the Kids Heart Challenge.
Hannah is recognized as the Middle School Physical Education Teacher of the Year for her community engagement efforts, her collaboration with colleagues in settings like Drums Alive and Ellis School’s Champion’s Club, which she co-teaches with the school’s physical therapist, Bethany Layne, and her gift for connecting with all students but especially middle schoolers.
Ellis School Principal Delaney Rosenberg, who nominated Hannah, had this to say about her: “Hannah is one of the most dedicated teachers I have ever worked with. She is committed to the Ellis School community and goes out of her way to make every child feel included and cared for. Additionally, her excitement and passion for everything she does is contagious, and her students and colleagues feed off of this...Hannah is an incredible educator for all of our students, but she has a special gift for teaching and engaging with middle schoolers in particular.”
“Hannah is an incredibly dedicated educator who puts the needs of her Ellis School students at the center,” said Superintendent Brian M. Stack. “She has incredible energy and passion for what she does, and this makes her an invaluable asset to our school and district.”
The Fremont School Board also expresses their sincerest appreciation and gratitude to Hannah for being such a dedicated employee. Hannah is a prime example of what Ellis School is all about.
Please join us in congratulating Hannah on this much-deserved honor!
