4.9.2024
To the Fremont, New Hampshire Community,
I am thrilled and deeply honored to have been chosen as your new Superintendent of Schools, effective July 1st. It fills me with excitement to build upon the strong foundation of my previous role as an educational leader here in Fremont. For those whom I have not yet had the pleasure of meeting, allow me to introduce myself.
My wife Erica and I reside in nearby Plaistow, where we are raising our five children, aged 9 to 18. They attend the Timberlane Schools, where Erica also serves as an elementary school literacy interventionist. Our family life is bustling with the typical activities—youth football, softball, or baseball practices and games; dance rehearsals and recitals; as well as attending plays and music concerts.
I earned my undergraduate degrees in math and math education from Boston University, followed by a master's degree in school administration from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell. Additionally, I hold a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study as a licensed Superintendent of Schools from New England College. From 2006 to 2022, I had the privilege of serving the town of Fremont as the Assistant Principal (2006-2009) and later as the Principal (2009-2022) of Sanborn Regional High School. Since leaving Sanborn nearly two years ago, I have been providing professional development to hundreds of schools, both within New Hampshire and other states nationally, based on two books that I co-authored and published on student-centered learning. I am excited to share that a third book is scheduled for publication this September. While I value the perspective and experience gained from this professional development, I am eager to establish Fremont as my new professional home and limit some of my travel.
As we look towards the future of our Fremont students, we have much to be proud of and grateful for. I am enthusiastic about contributing to the next chapter of Fremont's story and hope to become an integral part of this community for years to come.
My approach to education is simple: I correlate high student achievement with the cultivation of a school culture whereby all stakeholders practice these beliefs:
● Learning is our fundamental purpose.
● We are committed to working together to achieve our collective purpose through the development of high-performing teams.
● We assess our effectiveness on the basis of results - seeking relevant data to promote improvement.
For a culture to thrive, there must be evidence of beliefs through ongoing actions and behaviors of all stakeholders as they work together. That is what makes for a healthy school culture built to last.
I am committed to building upon the excellent work initiated by Ellen Halliday as Superintendent and am prepared to guide Fremont through the challenges that lie ahead. Together, we will continue to ensure that our school system delivers an exceptional education, equipping each of our children for success in adulthood.
I eagerly anticipate joining forces with each of you as we collectively strive to provide the best for our children.
Warm regards,
Brian M. Stack

Due to mechanical difficulties our Orange Bus is running about twenty minutes behind schedule. We apologize for any inconvenience.

School may have been closed on Friday, but the show must go on! Three of our amazing 5th grade chorus members attended the NHMEA Elementary Honors Festival! Allie, Leah, and Emma did a fantastic job performing with other 4th-6th grade chorus members from around the state.!
Despite getting ready in the dark that morning and with very little notice, Mrs. Bolduc stepped in to co-present an outstanding session on Folk Dancing when the original presenter became unexpectedly ill!
Way to go Ellis Eagles! Congratulations on a job well done!

EARLY RELEASE APRIL 8th
Dear Ellis School, Parents, Guardians, Staff, and Community Members,
Ellis School is making the following change to its schedule for the week of April 8th:
We are switching our early release date from Wednesday, April 10 to Monday, April 8th, 2024.
This decision was made with our students’ wellbeing in mind as well as the extraordinary celestial event taking place that day.
Many parents have reached out to request a half day to experience the solar eclipse with their children. In addition, the eclipse will be at its highest obscuration at 3:28 p.m., which coincides with when our students will be in the middle of transitioning from school and could put students at risk of eye injuries.
Many of our classes will be doing eclipse-related educational activities with our students and protective eyewear will be provided to all of our students and staff.
Again – April 8th will be an early release day. April 10th will be a regular school day.

While you may be focused on your March Madness basketball brackets, our second graders are working their way through a book bracket! Who do you think is going to come out on top?!

The Ellis School track team starts their season this afternoon! The track team will be using the fields and playgrounds most days after school until 4:30. Please note that the fields and back roadway are closed to the public when the track team is practicing.

Please join us in wishing Mrs. Rosenberg a happy Assistant Principal's Week! We are grateful for all that you do!

Yesterday, our fourth graders in Mrs. Gauthier and Ms. Georato's classrooms took a trip to Concord to visit the State House. Not only were they escorted through their tour by Representative Yokela, Governor Sununu paused his cabinet meeting to introduce himself and shake hands with each and every fourth grader. A field trip to remember!

Learners in Mrs. Gobeil's classroom have been following the Iditarod throughout the month of March. Last Friday they welcomed town resident and Alaska expert, Mr. Townsend to share photographs, taxidermy and a wealth of information! As always, his great bear rug was the best part of the presentation! Thank you for always making time for our third graders, Mr. Townsend.

In between CPR training, literacy data analysis, standards and competency alignment, rubric building and several other tasks, our educators came together to enjoy a pot luck luncheon. It was the perfect opportunity to reconnect over platefuls of delicious dishes. Thank you for all of your hard work today, Ellis Educators!
