Superintendent’s Message
To the Fremont, New Hampshire Community,
I am thrilled and deeply honored to be able to serve as the Superintendent of Schools for our Fremont community. Our mission as a school district is to work in partnership with families and the community to ensure that all students achieve their full potential through educational excellence in teaching, and we do not take this mission lightly. The word “ensure” carries with it a promise and a guarantee that we make to each other that we will work as a team and a community on behalf of all of our students. It is a mission that I, as an educator, fully agree with.
I have been a part of the Fremont community since 2006. From 2006-2022, I served Fremont as its high school administrator (four years as the assistant principal, and then twelve as the principal of Sanborn Regional High School). I have forged some deep connections with Fremont students and former students, families, community members, and organizations/businesses over this time.
I hold both BA and BS degrees in math and math education from Boston University, an M.Ed degree in educational administration from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell, and a C.A.G.S. as a licensed Superintendent of Schools from New England College. In 2017 I was named the New Hampshire High School Principal of the year. In my non-Fremont professional life, I have written three books on education that have been widely used by educators in schools and school systems across the country and in Canada. My role at Fremont is part time, thus allowing me some opportunity to travel to schools around the country at various times during the year. As I work with them, it helps me further understand how I as an educational leader can best support our collective mission in Fremont - my primary concern and focus.
As an educator, my approach to education is simple: I correlate high student achievement with the cultivation of a school culture whereby all stakeholders practice these beliefs:
Learning is our fundamental purpose.
We are committed to working together to achieve our collective purpose through the development of high-performing teams.
We assess our effectiveness on the basis of results - seeking relevant data to promote improvement.
For a culture to thrive, there must be evidence of beliefs through ongoing actions and behaviors of all stakeholders as they work together. That is what makes for a healthy school culture built to last.
I look forward to partnering with you in our collective mission in Fremont.
Yours,
Brian M. Stack
