Our Kindergarten times are as follows:
Morning Session
8:35 to 11:10
Afternoon Session
12:30 to 3:05
We know that some of our most teachable moments come when least expected and therefore the routines are guidelines that may shift, if in the best interest of our learning.
The children have had exposure to all 5 vowels now. They have been introduced to keywords and pictures to help them remember the sounds these letters make in words. We continue to make our way through the remaining consonants as well.
With our math program we continue to do our daily routines, such as calendar, how many days in school, looking for patterns in the numbers, etc. We have been doing a lot of counting both rote and one to one correspondence. We have been focusing on recognizing the numerals to be able to match the correct number of objects to them.
