Explanation of our Café Services Program
Each student will have an account which will be open upon his/her initial deposit of cash or a check made out to Ellis School Lunch program. Funds can, and should be, added to at any time throughout the school year. As each student purchases items, the cost will be drawn from their account. A letter will be sent home if a child builds up a negative balance of over -$5.00 and they will not be able to “charge” extra items to their account. Negative balance notifications will go home weekly.
The cost of items are as follows:
Elementary Lunch $1.75
*this includes:
1. a choice of the main item on the menu, the sandwich of the day, or the salad of the day
2. a choice of two sides
3. milk or 4oz. apple or orange juice
Middle School Lunch $1.85
*this includes:
1. a choice of the main item on the menu, the sandwich of the day, the salad of the day, or a choice from the sandwich bar
2. a choice of two sides
3. milk or 4oz. apple or orange juice
Milk (snack or lunch) $0.40
*Breakfast and snack items will also be offered for Kindergarten Students*
There will not be peanut butter offered by Café Services
A La Carte items may include and are not limited to the following:
Baked Lays Potato Chips $0.85
Baked Nacho Cheese Doritos $0.85
Sunchip Multigrain Chips $0.85
Rold Gold Pretzels $0.85
Fresh Baked Low Fat Cookies 2/$0.50
8 oz. Poland Spring Water $0.50
16.9 oz. Poland Spring Water $1.00
Veryfine 10oz. 100% Juice $1.25
Snapple 11.5 oz. 100% Juice $1.25
Vitamin Water 12 oz. $1.50
The a la carte items are extra and funds will be drawn from each student’s account. If a student has a negative balance, he/she will not be allowed to purchase any of these items.
